Meet Recap

Chaparral Boy’s Swimming and Diving took on Boulder Creek at Cactus Aquatic Center on Thursday in which Chaparral lost 105-78. The boys had a rough day missing a few key pieces that could have swung the meet around but Boulder Creek battled swam well. Even in the loss our boys had some great swims, especially by our Senior Middle Distance Freestyler Ryan Downing who was a double event winner in the 200 and 500 Free with dual meet bests this season. We also had another Senior who won both his individual events Hayden Depuy swimming the 50 and 100 Free. With quite a young team, our underclassmen of Freshman Tyler Best and Will Nenad had good individual events as well with some solid swims by Sophomore Sam Acheson in the 200 I.M and 100 back. Our boys even with the loss kept on fighting to win events but at the end of the day came up a little short. Next week we swim home against Horizon and Notre Dame and have an invite at PCDS Eagle invite. Overall, it was a great meet and go Firebirds!
