On Thursday and Friday this past week, the Chaparral Boy’s and Girl’s Swim Teams competed at Kino Aquatic Center in Mesa at the AIA Division 1 State Championships. The Chaparral Girl’s Swim and Dive Team won their 6th Straight State Championship in dominant fashion and the Boy’s finished Runner-Up for the 2nd year in a row. The Chaparral Girls won 9 of 11 individual events, 1 State Record, 1 Team Record, and 1 Division 1 Girl’s Swimmer of the Year.

On the Boy’s Side they had 2 Team Records and 2 Individual State Champs.

500 Free: Ellis Bohon (State Champ and Team Record)
100 Breast: Matthew Leblanc (State Champ)
