Paul Wheeler M.S., AT/L, CES
In 2015, Mr. Wheeler became Chaparral’s Head Athletic Trainer and Sports Medicine Teacher. As a teacher, his primary responsibility is to create & implement a sports medicine curriculum that provides students meaningful opportunities in sports medicine treatment and education. As the Head Athletic Trainer, Mr. Wheeler is responsible for the care & prevention of injuries of Firebird athletes.
Prior to Chaparral, Mr. Wheeler was the Head Athletic Trainer at Coronado High School. He also worked at CATZ Physical Therapy and the Performance Institute for Training and Therapy as the Head Athletic Trainer. During his time at Coronado, Mr. Wheeler completed a Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences and Health Promotions along with obtaining the Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification.
Mr. Wheeler is originally from Arizona and attended Northern Arizona University where he was an Athletic Training Student Intern for NAU Football and also completed an internship with ASU Wrestling and Baseball.
Andrew Williams AT/L
In 2015, Mr. Williams became the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Firebirds. He is a Graduate student at A.T. Still University pursuing a Master’s of Science in Athletic Training. Prior to moving to Arizona, Mr. Williams graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. While at SDSU, he worked with the University of California San Diego Women’s Soccer Team and Baseball Team. Additionally, Mr. Williams worked for SDSU Football and Track and Field. Prior to attending SDSU, Mr. Williams attended Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, CA where he obtained an Associate’s of Science in Natural Sciences.
