Baseball Update

The Chaparral baseball team has seen it’s fair share of success in the early part of the season. Through 14 games, the Firebirds sit at 10-2-2. They have competed in two tournaments: the Scottsdale Invitational, in which they finished 4-0-1, and the Best of the West Tournament, in which they finished 3-1-1, losing to Broken

Baseball Beats Thunderbird 10-0

The Firebirds beat highly touted Thunderbird H.S. 10-0 in six. It only took sophomore Chandler Hutchens 68 pitches to dispatch Thunderbird. Hutchens struck out 10, and surrendered only 1 walk. Great job! Chaparral wasted no time getting on the board. In the first, Ian McMillan walked. Moved to 2nd on a FC by Gianni Tomasi.

Summer Baseball Camp

Incoming Freshman will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-10:30am. Camp will begin on Tuesday, May 31 and conclude on Thursday, June 30.  Players should wear proper baseball attire, which includes baseball pants, shirt, and hat.  They should also bring metal or plastic spikes and turfs along with a glove and bat.  Players are also required
